Owners Peter and Paul have stamped their interior design skills into this Edwardian homestead. Filled with beautiful things, bedrooms are resplendent in their four separate rich colour palettes – Māwhero (pink), Kākāriki (green), Kikorangi (blue) and Pango (black – this room is actually painted white with a lot of black and white art)
The Māwhero room brings glamour, the Kākāriki room brings nature, the Kikorangi room brings rest and the Pango room brings boldness.
When you stay at Hawthorne House you get so much more than a gorgeous room and delicious breakfast. Over a glass or wine, or the breakfast table, owners Peter and Paul pride themselves on their ability to really get to know what makes you tick, allowing them to pull back the curtain and show you parts of Hawke’s Bay that may not have been on your radar
