Queenstown

The combination of a unique alpine setting located next to a freshwater lake, a host of different activities and attractions for visitors to experience and a compact town centre covering just one square kilometre, are just some of its many features. Queenstown is one of the few places in the world where golfers can really use the scenery as an excuse for a bad round! In fact, golfers can select from any one of the three excellent 18 hole courses in Queenstown as well as many others in the surrounding district.

For those with a longing for a real adrenaline rush then Queenstown is the place to find it. Dubbed as the ‘adventure capital of the world’ young and old flock to Queenstown to experience its famous bungee jumps, white water rafting, tandem parapenting, hang gliding, jet boating, skydiving and a host of similar activities. There is a plethora of internationally renowned vineyards in the area, some clinging to the sides of mountains with beautiful caverns and wine rooms suitable for weddings and other special occasions. Enjoy the local wines and fresh South Island fare in one of many cafes and restaurants in this year-round playground.
